  1. Eddie & Gabi,
It is so cool that you both are partnering in this exciting project! I am excited for you both as well. There is a lot of talent in you, and it shows.

I would suggest to offer your services/help at the theater events in your school and/or your community area. I took a production class in the past, and guys, we needed you! I also learned about sketching, designing clothes, lighting, etc. So I get the part (and enjoy) about creative jobs AND I know, they will be happy to see your work and get help from you guys.

Expand little by little, so that way you can play more with textures, colours and keep creating fun designs! The sooner the better. The idea is to apply it in the real world. You might end up creating a designing show for Teens! You never know. Just keep up the same work you are doing. I am excited for our Eddie (and u too Gabi). It is very cool!

As for your blog, think about creating seasonal clothing; Winter, Spring, etc collections.

Also to be the very best, remember that you need to keep on trends (past, present), and your job (and fun part!) is to create future trends with your unique style. Get inspired by fabulous ladies out there. Gaga, Beyonce, Madonna, Victoria Beckham, etc. See, there are still artists that need some help as to how to dress like Miley. I like her, but I do not think she has a defined style neither is Ke$ha- don't you agree?

Get also inspired through magazines at your local the library! Look beyond the trends that exists at home. Look for international fashion magazines. Post a notice about your design help/services to schools/theater.

ALSO, I would recommend you both to learn another language- French, Italian or Spanish. As soon as you possible. At your age it is more fun, believe me, and the rewards are immensely! It will make you more creative, and get in touch with other cool designers around the world.

Canada is a bilingual country (English/French). The Alliance Française is close to where we live here in downtown Vancouver. You are more than welcome to spend a Summer with us learning French!- Any time. It will help if you first start with the basics at home though AND meet the requirements that you mom and dad want you to do back home (such as good grades in school, home duties, etc).

HOWEVER In the mean time have fun with what you have and can do best- create, create, create. Build your portfolio!

    In short:
    1. Meet your duties at home and school first. If possible exceed them. Rewards are nice ;-) Set your goals. Think of how do you see yourselves in this are in 6 months, 1 year, 5 years from now. This is of course if you are serious and really, really this is effortless and fun for you. Remember that Your priority is your school. Work hard on it and get good grades.

    2. Keep designing. Create more sketches to build your resume to present to other creators to start networking with them. So far you are doing great! This blog and is great start! Kuddos for that btw.

    3. Get prepared. International magazines are wonderful tools. All in all, fashion is subjective. So you have create your styles. Make mistakes, it is OK. I am learning that myself too. Maybe a weekly field trip at the library?

    4. Learn a new language. The sooner the better.

    5. HAVE FUN! This is the most important (and ideal) aspect of any job.

    My token.
    Love,
    Tío Adolfo.

PS Looking fwd to hear more from this project!

  2. Hi Eddie, This is your Mom's cousin Barbara in Seattle. I am very impressed by your designs. I have always loved to draw and wished that I had taken more art classes, because the more you learn about color and design, the cooler your stuff will get. Tio Adolfo said it all, but I think you are great, and I look forward to following your blog. Did you know your Great Grandma LeDuc was a very artistic woman as well? Ask your Mom. She even sewed my Mom's wedding dress!
    Barbara
